Team Member plays with more known members of the Switch Sports Golf Community
Update: you can now see the entire Round 1 Match from Quintin’s feed here.
Yeah, you are reading this right. We got another NSS Online with Friends Highlight to share with you all for today’s post. Following the first edition of the Online games with Friends, this time, another room was formed. We got some interesting players, those who have achieved great lengths in their own Online Journey, specifically in Golf.
There were only two games of 9 Holes Classic Golf. We might be expecting a video from one of the players really soon, but for now we got some smaller clips and screenshots from the game, including one impressive chip-in. You can expect those to be released at some point early after this post is released. For now, let’s check out today’s highlights!
Another NSS Online went underway!
6 Players, No CPU and 2 new players took action in 9 Holes Classic and in for both games. With a decent performance from 5 players, they had to extend their score to ensure they are in a good position. In Mr B.F.F’s point of view, he clearly missed Hole 2 by hitting the bunker and failing to chip in. He was falling behind for just a bit.
Holes 3 and 4 saw a slight comeback for the Team Member as he managed to Eagle on the 3rd and Birdie on the 4th. He climbed back up to 2nd place with two other players. A then falling Mr B.F.F failed to clutch Hole 5 as he spoons his shot in the bunker. Rather unfortunate, he failed to Eagle and Birdie putt from a long distance. He dropped to 4th place on the Rankings. Then a Hole 6 2nd shot played quite off, caused Mr B.F.F to miss a long left curved putt. Upset with a Par on that hole, he dropped one more position to 5th.
Still hoping to get 2nd or 1st despite a struggle with getting Birdies, there were only three holes left. Still on the run with no Bogeys scored, Mr B.F.F, in a good starting position, takes a chance for the shortcut on Hole 7. He manages to get through for his chance to Eagle, but however in a turn-around, the Top Two Seeds have gotten an OB after hitting through the tree. The 1st place leader manages to save himself with a Par and remained in the position alone.
An unfortunate miss for 2nd seed, Quintin bogeyed as Mr B.F.F climbed up two ranks back up to 3rd after another player Bogeyed as well. There is a chance for a comeback in sight. In Hole 8, Mr B.F.F pars after missing another chip-in chance and he is not too far behind the Top 3. He went down to 4th. Mr B.F.F tried to go for an Eagle in the 9th but missed, causing him to only go for a Birdie. His other opponents got a Birdie which caused Mr B.F.F to not make up for it. The Top Two Seeds tied as they head to a Closest Pin showdown. Down below are the results of that Closest Pin Tiebreaker and believe me, that’s the closest I’ve seen yet in an Online Friends Game.
NSS Online Game #2, Chip-in Eagle and Strong Performance
Mr B.F.F is looking to improve upon a sloppy performance after getting 3rd place which wasn’t too bad or too big of a deal. He sees himself in focus mode for the next game. He begins and utilizes the strategy but getting Hole 1 with a good Shot 1 hit. Next thing, Mr B.F.F wants to Eagle, so he focuses on positioning it right and then, what do you know? The strategy could be working! Mr B.F.F got an Eagle in the first hole.
With Mr B.F.F managing to stand alone yet again, he goes for Hole 2, except a crucial miss and a hit from the bunker caused him to miss, yet another shot for the Birdie. He would tie with four other players. He would rebound by getting an Eagle once again on Hole 3 to keep the tie going. There were now 3 other people tied for first. One of the players are hoping to break as they head into the 4th hole.
With strong winds, Mr B.F.F saw an easy opportunity as the wind was pointing Southeast. He manages to get in the green and nearly missed a putt, which swirled into the hole. He kept the tie going as no one got a Hole-in-one. The next two top seeded players got a Par, causing Mr B.F.F and Quintin go head to head for first with a tie. In Hole 5, both the top players take a shortcut for which they get on the Fairway successfully. Both players would eventually Eagle to keep the tie going.
In Holes 6 and 7, the tie kept going as this was the highest peak performance for Mr B.F.F so far. In hole 8 with a Wind of 0 MPH, Quintin manages to Chip-In for a Birdie yet again and causes the tie to break once after Mr B.F.F gets a Par. Hoping to make a comeback somehow, the final hole commenced.
The Biggest Turnaround and Water Hazard
The Final Hole where you have to give it your all began. The Wind was no good to take the shortcut. All players had chosen to play it safe and that should be a good thing. Mr B.F.F was 250 yards away from the hole but will he get through the cliff on Shot 2? Mr B.F.F went for it. The wind and the distance pulled him away from passing and as a result, gets the ball in the water. Not only his mistake, Quintin also pulls it in the water. This is the first time that the Top 2 Seeds get a Water Hazard for the first time, especially in the Final Hole.
They could not make-up for their misses and failed to maintain their positions. They fell at least one position down with Mr B.F.F finish 4th, and let a new winner take the top position. Mr B.F.F was disappointed about the final hole that threw him off but that toughie didn’t stop him from praising the game for bringing in a great performance before the mess up.
The NSS Online Friend’s Room would end after that but nonetheless, they all enjoyed those two games respectively. A final result snippet can be seen down below. Amazing comeback and wonderful performances from all players. We hope to see another game happen very soon.
Thanks for reading this short post of NSS Online for the night! If the video does come out, we will update this article accordingly. Meantime, make sure to comment down below your thoughts, join our community Discord server and see you all later for the next one! PEACE OUT! – Mr B.F.F.
